Pickin Pumpkins

This Saturday we ventured to the Rockin Ranch in Columbia Station to have some fall fun. Jamie and Ava came with us and the girls had a great time.
They got to see animals at the petting zoo, look at the ponies giving rides (the girls are too young or that), pick pumpkins, go on a hayride and see a corny show. Here are the highlights!
(If you didn't know....you can click on the image to see it better/bigger)

They didn't get it. But it was cute!

My little pumpkin!

She loved the pony.

"Hey Dad......... Can I have a pony??"
"Look mom! I touched it!"

Checking out the sheep. They needed a bath big time!

Best of friends!
Partners in crime

Madelyn wanted to get up and stand for the photo.
I liked this one in black and white. (If only she would put her arms down, always looks like Frankenstein!)

Pumpkin-Head

So excited about pumpkins!

"I want this one!"

Cupcake Explosion!

It's been awhile since the last post, sorry!
We recently went to Davin's 2nd Birthday party in the park. It was a lot of fun and all the kids had a great time.  We managed to take home a cupcake to eat later when it would be easier to clean up.
Well...this is what happened....

Of course she rubbed her eyes and face as she always does when she is about done eating.

A sip of milk to wash it down!

Straight to the tub!!!

I guess since she didn't have a real "cake" experience for her birthday....this worked. No more colored desserts until next year!

Pow-Pow-Power Wheels!

Madelyn got a Power Wheels 4x4 for her first birthday from Michael and I. I was a little scared on how she would take it and since there is no seat belt... if she'd fall off.
Well we put her on it. Showed her the button. And she was in love, rides like a pro!

In case the videos are too small here are some photos of the new driver!
She learned to press the button within seconds!

Whoa!!!!

I think the birthday gift is a hit!

Madelyn's Monkey Luau

Well Madelyn's first birthday has come and gone. But we had a blast at her 1st birthday party 2 weeks ago despite the rain. There were lots of kids, food and plenty of desserts. I do tend to go bonkers when I bake!

Here are some highlights of the day:
The Pig Roast. The rain delayed the cooking just a tad.
Kid's table. Custom treat bags, bubbles and water.

Rubber duck smash cake. My first attempt at custom cake making!
Dessert table
Custom Monkey Cake made by Just Cakes
Bikini cookies
Cupcakes and cookies galore!
Thank you cookies - bikini's, palm trees and flip flops
The Crabby Patties were a huge hit!

Her new boyfriend Joshua!
The rain didn't stop most of the kids!
She didn't smash her cake. Maybe next year....

The first big party was a success!
A HUGE thank you to Ken and Mary for helping with the pig.
Thanks to Mom, Dad, Tina, Jamie, Amy, Wally,Kate, Pinter, Ita, Jessica, John, Alex and everyone else who helped with that party!
Happy 1st Year Madelyn!!!
